Stephanie Bucalo created Humane Education Teacher combining her love of animals and children's literature. Ms. Bucalo, a Certified Humane Education Specialist and a member of the Association of Professional Humane Educators is certified in New York State as a Librarian, Reading Teacher and Special Educator.
Having worked for fifteen years as a librarian and teacher, Ms. Bucalo now devotes all of her time to Humane Education.
As a lifelong animal protection advocate and as a librarian, Ms. Bucalo knows how vital accurate information from reliable sources is. A great deal of misinformation adversely affects animals as it perpetuates cruel and unethical practices. The dissemination of accurate information empowers animal rights advocacy. Ms. Bucalo will provide the best information and literature available to aid in humaneness, Humane Education and advocacy.
Stephanie lives on eastern Long Island with her family of rescued dogs and cats. Her lab mix Buddy is currently training to assist in teaching Humane Education classes to children.
Humane Education Teacher is a project of the soon to be incorporated 501(c) (3) nonprofit organization dedicated to the advocacy and support of humane education, literacy and information literacy.
"I ask for the privilege of not being born ...not to be born until you can assure me of a home and a master to protect me, and a right to live as long as I am physically able to enjoy life...not to be born until my body is precious and men have ceased to exploit it because it is cheap and plentiful." ~ Author Unknown
